What Narrative is
Narrative builds your business with you, then becomes the place you run it from. Here is what that means in practice.
A tool, not a course
You do not watch lessons and take notes. You answer questions about your own expertise, and each answer becomes a real asset - your offer, your positioning, your homepage, your outreach, your follow-up messages. At the end you have a business you can sell from, not a folder of notes.
Nothing is generic. Every asset is written from decisions you made in earlier steps, which is why the order of the work matters and why skipping ahead produces worse output.
The two halves
Narrative is one app with two modes. The toggle sits at the top left of the sidebar.
| The Academy | HQ | |
|---|---|---|
| What it is for | Building the business | Running the business |
| What you do there | Answer questions, pressure-test them, produce assets | Work leads, publish funnels, draft content, read your numbers |
| What you leave with | An offer, a story, a homepage, a funnel, outreach | Customers |
| When you get it | Immediately | When you finish the Academy core |
What it builds for you
Across the five Stops of the Academy, you end up with the pieces a one-person business actually needs:
- A validated idea - the problem, who has it, and proof they already pay to solve it
- An avatar and positioning specific enough that the right buyer recognizes themselves
- An offer with a price you can say out loud, and the reasoning behind it
- A homepage, a sales funnel, a video sales letter, a pitch deck and an offer doc
- Your first outreach message, and a delivery plan for when someone says yes
What you need before you start
An idea, or even just a skill people already ask you about. You do not need a business plan, a logo, a domain, a finished product, or an audience.
If you already have work - a deck, a call transcript, an old sales page - bring it in. See Bringing work you already have.
Who it is not for
Narrative is built for solo founders selling their expertise: coaches, consultants, course creators, freelancers, fractional executives.
It is typically not for founders selling a manufactured product or a software product. The questions, the funnel math and the delivery steps all assume you are the thing being sold.
