This Privacy Policy explains how Narrative Revenue, a service operated by Chris Ford d/b/a The Narrative Companies ("Narrative," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit narrativerevenue.com, use our web application at app.narrativerevenue.com, or otherwise interact with us (together, the “Services”).
We built Narrative to help founders build and run a business. That means you trust us with real information about you and your business. We do not sell or rent your personal information to third-party data brokers or marketing companies. This policy tells you what we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have.
Account information. When you create an account, we collect information such as your name and email address, and the login credentials you set.
Billing information. When you start a paid plan, our payment processor (currently Stripe) collects and processes your payment details. We do not store full card numbers; we receive limited billing information such as the last four digits, card type, expiration, and your subscription status.
Your business content. When you use the Services, we store what you build and add — for example your idea, offer, positioning, story, pricing, messaging, pages, goals and metrics, and any contacts, leads, or notes you enter. This is stored in your “Business Brain” so we can save your progress and power the Services.
AI inputs and outputs. When you use our AI features (such as coaching, the assistant, or content generation), we process the prompts and information you submit (“Inputs”) and the results returned to you (“Outputs”).
Communications and submissions. When you contact us, fill out a form, join our email list, or send testimonials or feedback, we collect the information in your message, such as your email address, phone number (if provided), and its contents.
When you use the Services, we and our providers automatically collect certain technical information through cookies and similar technologies, such as your IP address, device and browser type, operating system, pages viewed, links clicked, dates and times of access, referring/exit pages, and general usage. If you enable location services on your device, we may receive approximate location data; you can disable this in your device settings.
We use analytics providers (such as Google Analytics) to understand how the Services are used and to improve them. You can opt out of Google Analytics using Google’s browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
We provide AI features using our own systems and third-party AI providers (for example, Anthropic). Your Inputs and Outputs are processed to generate results for you. We work with AI providers whose commercial terms state that they do not use your Inputs or Outputs to train their models, other than limited processing needed to provide the service (such as safety and abuse monitoring). We do not use your business content to train third-party AI models. Because AI can be inaccurate, you should review Outputs before relying on them, and you should not submit information into AI features that you do not want processed for that purpose.
We do not sell or rent your personal information to third-party data brokers or marketing companies. We share information only as described here:
You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling some may affect how the Services work. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal: when your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a valid request to opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we will not load third-party tracking scripts that would share your information.
If you receive marketing emails from us and no longer want them, you can unsubscribe using the link in the email or by contacting us. If we send you text messages and you provided your number and opted in, you can reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for help; message and data rates may apply, and opting out may limit certain features. We will still send necessary service or transactional messages related to your account.
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Services, and afterward as needed to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and for legitimate business purposes. You can request deletion as described below; some information may be retained where the law allows or requires it.
We use reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Keep your account credentials safe and notify us promptly of any suspected unauthorized access.
The Services are intended for adults (18+) operating a business. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and the Services are not directed to them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under state privacy laws (for example, in California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws). Subject to those laws and to identity verification, these may include the right to: know or access the personal information we hold about you; correct inaccurate information; delete your information; obtain a portable copy; and opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of your information or targeted advertising.
We do not sell your personal information for money. We do use cookies and analytics that some laws may treat as “sharing” for advertising or analytics; you can opt out via the GPC signal and browser controls described above.
To exercise a right, email cford@narrativerevenue.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights, and we may need to verify your identity before responding.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another region with data-protection laws, we process your personal information based on: performance of our contract with you (to provide the Services); our legitimate interests (to operate, secure, and improve the Services); your consent (where required, such as certain marketing); and compliance with legal obligations. We do not use your personal information for automated decision-making that produces legal effects about you, and we do not sell it.
You may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your information, and to data portability. To make a request, or to lodge a concern, contact us using the details below; you also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority. Where we transfer information internationally, we use appropriate safeguards required by law.
The Services may link to third-party websites, apps, or platforms we do not control. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices; review their policies before providing information.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify you. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
