Tracking leads in Pipeline
Every lead, the stage it is at, and the next step you owe it.
Getting leads in
- Add them by hand as you meet people
- Let them arrive automatically from a published funnel
- Import a list you already keep elsewhere
The stages
A lead moves through seven stages. Three of them end the story.
| Stage | Meaning |
|---|---|
| New | They exist. Nobody has reached out yet. |
| Contacted | You reached out. No reply yet. |
| Conversation | A real exchange is happening. |
| Proposal | They have seen the offer and the price. |
| Won | They bought. |
| Lost | They said no, or went silent for good. |
| Churned | They bought once and have since left. |
Won, Lost and Churned are terminal - they stop counting as open pipeline, which is what keeps your numbers honest.
The next step is the point
A lead without a next step is a lead you have dropped. Pipeline surfaces the clearest next step for each one and feeds the daily list on your Cockpit.
This is the whole reason to keep it current. A pipeline nobody updates is a list of names; a pipeline with next steps is a plan for the week.
Follow-ups
Narrative drafts follow-up messages from your offer and the history of the conversation, so a quiet deal does not stay quiet because writing the message felt hard. You edit before anything sends.
