Acceptable Use Policy

Narrative was built to help founders launch, grow, and run a real business - and to give every user a platform that is safe, trustworthy, and respected. This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets the rules for using Narrative so we can keep spam, abuse, and harm off the platform.

This AUP is part of, and incorporated into, our Terms of Service. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meaning given in the Terms. It applies to everyone who uses Narrative (the “Services” or “Platform”), including anything you create, upload, send, or publish using the Services.

1. Your responsibility

You are responsible for your account and everything done through it, and for making sure your use of the Services - and the use by anyone you allow - follows this AUP, our Terms, and all applicable laws. If you use the Services to contact or sell to other people, you are responsible for those communications and transactions.

2. Prohibited activities

You may not use the Services to do, attempt, enable, or promote any of the following:

Harmful or unlawful acts

  • Break the law, or help anyone else break the law.
  • Engage in dishonest, deceptive, fraudulent, or unethical business practices.
  • Harm Narrative’s systems, security, or reputation - including hacking, introducing malware, probing or interfering with the Services, or overloading our infrastructure.
  • Scrape, crawl, screen-scrape, or copy the Services or their content except as we expressly permit; frame or mirror the Services; or reverse engineer them.
  • Build, benchmark, or gather intelligence for a competing product or model, or use Output to train a competing AI system.
  • Infringe or misappropriate anyone’s intellectual property, privacy, or other rights, or upload content you do not have the rights to use.

Spam and unsolicited communications

We have zero tolerance for spam. You may not use the Services to send unsolicited bulk or commercial messages, or to send communications that violate anti-spam or telemarketing laws (such as CAN-SPAM or the TCPA). You are solely responsible for ensuring your communications are lawful.

Offensive or harmful content

You may not create, send, or publish content that is: sexually explicit, obscene, or pornographic; hateful, harassing, threatening, defamatory, or discriminatory; deceptive, false, or misleading; graphically violent; or that promotes or facilitates unlawful behavior.

Sensitive and protected information

You may not upload or process sensitive personal information you are not authorized to handle - including government identification numbers (such as Social Security numbers), full payment card numbers, financial account numbers, account passwords, or security credentials. You may not use the Services to collect, store, or process protected health information subject to HIPAA or similar laws.

Illegal or restricted business activity

You may not use the Services to promote or facilitate illegal business activity, including unlawful multi-level marketing, illegal drugs, weapons, or the infringement of others’ rights, or any goods or services that violate the laws that apply to you or to Narrative.

Misuse of AI features

You may not use the AI features to generate content that violates this AUP or any law; to infringe others’ rights; to reverse engineer or extract the underlying models; to develop a competing model or service; or to deceptively present AI-generated output as human where doing so is prohibited. You must review AI output before relying on or publishing it.

Payment and data-security compliance

If you handle payment card data through or alongside the Services, you must comply with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) and all applicable laws.

3. Email and messaging best practices

If you use the Services to send marketing emails or messages, you must:

  • Use only permission-based lists where each recipient opted in.
  • Include a working unsubscribe mechanism and honor opt-out requests promptly.
  • Include a valid physical mailing address and accurate sender and subject information.
  • Maintain and link to a compliant privacy policy.
  • Never use purchased, rented, scraped, or programmatically generated lists.
  • Never send chain letters, pyramid schemes, or messages that disguise their origin.

4. Reporting violations

If you believe someone is violating this AUP, report it to cford@narrativerevenue.com. Please include enough detail for us to investigate, such as the account, URL, or content at issue and why you are reporting it.

5. Consequences of violating this policy

We take violations seriously. We may investigate suspected violations and, at our discretion, remove content, and suspend or terminate accounts. For minor or curable issues, we will generally try to notify you and give you a chance to fix the problem. For serious, repeated, or incurable violations - or where required by law - we may suspend or terminate your account immediately and without notice, which may result in loss of access to your account and content. We may also report unlawful activity to the authorities where required.

These remedies are in addition to any other rights we have under our Terms or applicable law.
