Setting goals and revenue targets

The targets every other number is measured against.

What to set

  1. Open Goals & Revenue in HQ.
  2. Set your revenue target for the period you care about.
  3. Set your expected close rate. A guess is fine to start; it corrects itself as deals close.
  4. Set your weekly activity - calls, outreach, conversations.

What Narrative does with them

It works backwards. A revenue target plus a price plus a close rate tells you how many conversations this week needs, and that number drives your Cockpit and your weekly priorities.

This is also why a wrong close rate is not a problem. It gets more accurate every time a deal closes or dies, and the weekly math follows it.

Why it matters

Without a target, "how is it going" has no answer, and every week feels the same whether it was good or not.

With one, the Cockpit can tell you whether this week was enough, and the coach can hold you to three things that would move it.

Narrative is a tool for building and running a business — not a guarantee of income, sales, or results. What you earn depends on your own effort, market, and many factors outside our control. Testimonials and figures reflect individual experiences and are not typical or promised.
